NETAA INDOOR 450 ROUND RULES

1. Standard Unit:

Shall consist of 45 arrows, shot as three games, at a distance of 20 yards. Each game shall consist of 5 ends of 3 arrows per end.
2. Targets:
The target face shall be 40 cm in diameter and shall be the "Vegas" style 5 color face. (NOTE: Archer may choose one spot or 3 spot face).
3. Shooting Positions:
Shooting positions will provide sufficient area to enable two archers to shoot simultaneously at one target butt (shooting lanes minimum 2'6" wide).
4. Shooting Rules:
a.) An archer shall stand so that he has one foot on either side of the shooting line.
b.) The time limit shall be 3 minutes for 3 arrows per end.
c). Ties will be broken by "x" count.
d.) In the event of equipment failure, the archer will have 15 minutes repair time without holding up the tournament. One practice will be allowed. The archer shall be allowed to shoot any arrows he or she did not shoot during the 15 minutes repair time, after the final end.
e.) Two ends of the practice will be allowed at all NETAA Indoor Rounds.
5.) Scoring:
a.) The scoring is 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 from spot out.
b.) X-Rings shall be counted and used in tie breakers.
c.) Numeric value of each arrow and total "X" count will be recorded per end before touching or drawing any arrows from the target.
d.) An arrow touching the scoring ring shall be scored as the greater value. Scoring is determined by the position of the shaft. The shaft must touch the line of higher value in order to be scored as the higher value.
e.) Witnessed bounce outs or arrows passing completely through the target will be reshot.
f.) Hits on the wrong target will be scored as misses.
g.) When an arrow is dropped while the archer is in the act of shooting, he/she may shoot another arrow in the place of the dropped arrow if the dropped arrow is within 10 feet of the shooting line.
h.) If an archer shoots more than the prescribed number of arrows in the end, only the prescribed arrows of lower value will be scored. A penalty of one point will be assessed for each arrow shot over the prescribed number.
i.) If an archer shoots less than the prescribed number of arrows in one end he/she may shoot his/her remaining arrows if the omission is discovered before the end is officially completed; otherwise they shall be scored as misses.
j.) When using the three spot target. One arrow shall be shot at each of the three spots during each round. If more than one arrow is shot into a spot, the arrow of higher scoring value is lost.
