NETAA CLASSES
The following classes are recognized by NETAA for tournament competitions.
It should be noted that all classes are not recognized at every tournament
(check the registration form for each tournament to confirm classes offering
awards).
SNR: Senior- Male and Female archers a minimum of 55 years old as of
March 31 of the year of the competition. Archers may use any style,
any sight, and any equipment legal in any other class.
M-FS: Male Freestyle- any sight, any style.
M-FSL: Male Freestyle Limited- any sight, and style, fingers.
M-BFS: Male Bowhunter Freestyle- maximum 12 long stabilizer, maximum
5 fixed pin sight, release aids allowed.
M-BFSL: Male Bowhunter Freestyle Limited- Same as Bowhunter Freestyle
except must shoot with fingers (no release aid).
M-FITA: Male FITA- Recurve bows, any sight, any stabilizers, fingers.
RU: Recurve Unaided- Male and Female archers using recurve bows, maximum
12 stabilizers, no sights, fingers.
LB: Longbow- Male and Female archers using longbows, 90# maximum draw
weight at 28, no sight, fingers.
F-FS: Female Freestyle- any sight, any style.
F-FSL: Female Freestyle Limited- same as above but no release aids.
F-BFS: Female Bowhunter Freestyle- maximum 12 long stabilizer, maximum
5 fixed pin sight, release aids allowed.
F-FITA: Female FITA- Recurve bows, any sight, any stabilizer, fingers.
YA-MFS: Young Adult Male Freestyle- Male age 16-17, any sight, any
style.
YA-FFS: Young Adult Female Freestyle- Female age 16-17, any sight,
any style.
YA-FITA: Young Adult FITA- Any archer age 16-17, recurve, any sight,
fingers.
Y-MFS: Youth Male Freestyle- Youth male age 13-15, any sight, any style.
Y-FFS: Youth Female Freestyle- Youth female age 13-15, any sight, any
style.
Y-FITA: Youth FITA- Any youth age 13-15, recurve, any sight, fingers.
CUB: Any archer 9-12 years old, any sight, any style.
CUB-FITA: Any archer 9-12 years old, recurve, any sight, fingers.
PeeWee- Any archer 8 or under, and sight, any style.
NETAA DIVISIONS:
MONEY DIVISION- (M-FS, M-BFS, & F-FS classes only) A percentage
of each registration fee is paid back at each tournament (percentage will
be stated on registration form) on the basis of one place for every three
competitors (per class), to a maximum of ten places paid. No trophies
will be awarded in the Money Division. Archers competing as a Pro
or Semi Pro at any tournament with-in the calendar year, must register
in the Money Division at NETAA events.
OPEN DIVISION- With the exception of the NETAA Outdoor World Championship,
Open Division archers compete for awards only (no cash).
ARROW RESTRICTIONS:
All arrows must weigh a minimum of 5 grains per peak draw weight of
the bow used (6 grains per pound is recommended).
All Bowhunter classes must use arrows with a minimum point weight (point
plus insert) of 80 grains.
