NETAA is looking to expand the annual tournament tour with State and
local level qualifying events run by clubs, shops, and organizations
wishing to take part in the tour. Tournaments can be 3D, indoor
450 Rounds, and/or outdoor 540 Rounds. All these formats can be
sanctioned as qualifiers for the annual Outdoor World Championship.
By offering sanctioning to events across the country, NETAA plans to
make qualification for the annual World Outdoor Championship more readily
available to archers across the country.
NETAA will only run a few Regional Level events each year, primarily
in the central core of the northeast region. These events will
be limited to the three annual Triple Crowns (New England, New York,
and Southern), a maximum of three indoor target events during the winter,
and the Outdoor Championship. While sanctioning will not be granted
to any tournament that would create a conflict with one of the Region
Level events, there are many dates available. State championship
and Local level tournaments will be sanctioned in areas of the northeast
eleven states that are not adequately covered by a regional event.
Additionally, there are openings for State level championships in both
target and 3D games in each state outside the region.
Clubs, archery shops, and/or organizations wishing to run a NETAA qualifier
should contact NETAA headquarters for a shoot sanctioning request form.
Contact can be made by e-mail or phone (508) 473-6970. There is
a $25.00 sanctioning fee payable with the sanctioning request form.
If, for any reason, sanctioning is denied the fee will be returned.
With the accepted sanctioning request form, the tournament authority
will receive forms to be used in reporting the tournament results to
NETAA. The results are to be reported by class to facilitate the
mailing of invitations to all who qualify (top 20 archers in each class
at each sanctioned qualifier will receive an invitation to register
to compete at the Outdoor World Championship). NETAA mails all
invitations.
There is a shooters fee payable to NETAA for every contestant competing
in any NETAA sanctioned qualifier. The tournament authority is
responsible for collecting this fee as part of the tournament registration
fee, and forwarding it to NETAA headquarters with the tournament results
report with-in ten days of the event. The shooters fee is $5.00
for each archer in the competition. A portion of each shooters fee
($3.00) is set aside for the cash awards program at the Outdoor World
Championship where it will be paid down 100% to the archers in attendance
by game and class (3D and/or target). Pay down is one place for
every three contestants per class (maximum 10 places per class). Cash
awards are presented in addition to huge trophies in all adult open
classes. Youth classes receive trophies plus Aim For College Tuition
Voucher Certificates (same pay down formula as cash awards).
To avoid conflicts no two tournaments will be sanctioned in the same
geographic area in any season. To encourage tournament authorities
to seek sanctioning, NETAA offers first right of refusal for the same
tournament the following season to any organizer holding a qualifier
that meets all contractual requirements/agreements.
