TO: Archery Manufacturers
RE: NETAA 2001 Sponsorship Programs
Hello,
With all the major tournaments scheduled for this years tour, and 6,000
flyers in the mail, it is now time to turn our attention to our sponsorship
programs. The tour will extend down into the southern part of the region
this season with the establishment of the "Southern Triple Crown",
and we will increase excitement for the Pros with our new Invitational/Elimination
Round money shoots (three scheduled this year, nine for next season!).
The combination will help us grow membership and participation an expected
50% again this year.
All of last years sponsors are already on board for this season, but
we are expanding some of the programs to allow other companies to take
advantage of the promotional advantages of supporting organized tournament
archery in the most densely populated region of the country. The available
programs are as follows:
-
TRIPLE CROWN SPONSORSHIP (new this season)- We are looking for one
title sponsor for each of the three triple crowns (New England, New York,
and Southern) this season. A company can sponsor one, two, or all three,
but we will only allow one sponsor for each on a "first come first serve"
basis. The sponsorship fee for each mini tour is only $500.00, and the
fee will be used (100%) as the guaranteed first place bonus check to the
overall winner of the respective mini tour in the MM-FS class (Money Male
Freestyle). The bonus check will be presented at the conclusion of the
third leg of each mini-tour.
-
AIM FOR COLLEGE FOUNDATION SPONSORSHIP- This program was founded
in 96 and has awarded the top young archers at each NETAA Outdoor World
Championship "Aim For College Tuition Voucher Certificates". The total
awarded to date is over $14,000.00 with over $3,000.00 in certificates
already converted to direct payment of tuition costs for young archers
going on to school after graduating high school. We award 100% of the sponsorship
money received each season to the youngsters to encourage a growing participation
among youngsters to the sport of archery. This program is the foundation
of our youth development program and is an important step in advancing
the youth recruitment so desperately needed by the sport. All sponsorship
donations are thankfully accepted, but only donations of $100.00 or more
will be acknowledged on the web site and on the tuition certificates themselves.
There is no limit to the number or amount of sponsors accepted in this
program.
-
GENERAL SPONSORSHIP (new this season)- To help expand the NETAA
tour, we are looking for general sponsorships in a unique new program.
There will be three levels of sponsorship in this program for the 2001
season (bronze, silver, and gold). The fees for sponsorship are: bronze
level - $500.00, silver level- $1,000.00, and gold level- $2,000.00. Sponsorship
fees can be paid totally in cash or 50% cash and 50% in retail value of
product manufactured by the sponsor. The cash received will be used to
increase advertising and promotion of the tour to increase attendance.
The products received will be used as door prizes and/or raffle items to
increase excitement at the major events (triple crowns and World Championship).
By allowing the fee to be paid partially in product we are giving potential
sponsors the opportunity to increase their sponsorship commitment at a
reduced cost (retail versus cost on products supplied) while increasing
product exposure by putting their products into the hands of our serious
archers.
As always, any/all support will be thankfully acknowledged in our newsletters,
our web site, at our major events, and in editorials about the various
awards programs. I believe that all of these programs offer a good deal
of "BANG FOR THE BUCK" while helping to support the advancement
of tournament archery. Twenty-five percent of all the archers/bowhunters
in North America live in the eleven State Northeast region where NETAA
operates. Sponsorship of the NETAA program can provide very good exposure
to this important segment of archery population for short dollars. I hope
you and your fine companies will see fit to take advantage of these programs,
help us promote "our" sport, and take advantage of the benefits offered.
-
Gold Sponsors ($2,000.00 per year):
-
Silver Sponsors ($1,000.00 per year):
-
Bronze Sponsors ($500.00 per year):
MUZZY PRODUCTS - Muzzy not only makes some of the finest broadheads
in the industry, they also make a fantastic line of bowfishing gear and
several other products. More importantly, they have been supportive
of NETAA and The Aim For College Foundation from the very beginning.
They were the very first company to sign on in our new sponsorship program
to show their continued support for our efforts to promote archery in the
North East. Check out their web site by clicking here.
(Personal note: I shot three animals with Muzzy tipped arrows last
fall, a whitetail doe, a B&C record woodland caribou, and a bull moose.
All arrows were complete pass through shots after breaking bones on both
sides of the animals. Muzzy broadheads are nothing short of fantastic!
